We are a custom residential and commercial builder with a strong client focus. Our experienced and professional team are able to work with you at any stage, from site selection, budgets & feasibility studies, design, approvals, and of course, the build.
We firmly believe there’s a solution to every challenge, and we like to find it! We’ve worked on many difficult sites, dug basements beside the river, handled unique town planning constraints, and imported high-end finishes. We love it all, and we’re here to help!

Beau Lloyd
Founder/ Director/ Builder
As the founder and director of Stormvogel, Beau has over 18 years of experience in the residential and commercial construction industry. He’s spent time in hands-on roles and worked through the ranks in positions including cadet, site supervisor, project engineer, design manager, project manager and general manager at a national construction contractor.
Beau is committed to getting the best results for every client and displays an open, organised and professional demeanour. He is constantly looking for better outcomes and is always up for the challenge. He has a practical approach to building and respects the fundamentals of good design and building principles that have stood the test of time.
He has delivered high-end luxury homes, townhouses, residential apartments, offices, retail, health, hospitality, industrial sheds and high-rise towers. Beau holds a QBCC Open Builder’s Licence, a Bachelor of Construction Management and a Bachelor of Finance.
When he’s off the clock, you’ll find Beau snorkelling up and down the pristine waters of the Queensland coast or boating, fishing and camping in our beautiful backyard.
Gareth Royal
Site Manager
Gareth is a highly experienced Site Manager and trade qualified Carpenter with more than 17 years of professional industry experience. He has safely and successfully delivered numerous large scale commercial projects from inception to completion. Gareth enjoys soaking up the sun at the beach and spending quality time with his family.
Luke de Nys
Senior Contract Administrator
Luke has a degree in Property Economics and over 12 years experience working for highly reputable developers and builders across Brisbane, Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast. Luke has proven experience managing all facets of the development life cycle on an array of projects. In his down time, Luke enjoys camping, getting to the coast and attempting to play golf.
Sally Kennedy
Operations Manager
Sally is a qualified accountant with over 15 years of experience in the construction industry. She understands the importance of ensuring up-to-date financial reporting and corporate governance. Outside of work Sally values spending time with her family and enjoys camping trips in the caravan.
